At Teque, we like to keep up to date on new technologies in order to always be at the forefront of innovation.

When Github's Copilot made its first debut, we were absolutely thrilled by it. Its code prediction and completion capabilities left us mesmerised. It was as if it could read our minds as we coded away. It definitely made sense to implement it into our processes.

This can be a controversial topic. Many in the industry are scared of implementing AI in their procedures, and we understand that. But whether you use it or not, AI can potentially change the industry (and your job) for the worse if not properly policed. So while we find ways to be part of the conversation and help shape the future of AI to the best of our abilities, we might as well take advantage of its abilities.

To try and end the debate once and for all, we asked the AI-of-the-hour what it thought of this:
"ChatGPT, does the use of AI in programming dumb down programmers?"

"No, the use of AI in programming does not "dumb down" programmers. Instead, it can enhance their abilities and enable them to be more productive and effective in their work.

However, it is important to note that AI is not a replacement for human programmers. It is a tool that can help them be more efficient and effective in their work. Programmers still need to have a deep understanding of programming concepts, algorithms, and data structures to use AI effectively."
